Freshly mulched clearing with tracked equipment in Central Alberta

Alberta forestry mulching contractor

Forestry mulching across Alberta.

Reclaim brush, saplings and overgrown ground with suitable vegetation processed on site. M&L serves acreages, farms, rural properties and commercial projects from its Central Alberta base.

What this service solves

Turn dense growth into usable ground.

Forestry mulching processes suitable brush, understory, saplings and trees at ground level, leaving a layer of mulch across the work area. It can reduce material handling while opening access, sightlines and space.

The right approach depends on vegetation size, density, slope, soil conditions, hidden debris and equipment access. We review those conditions before recommending mulching on its own or as one part of a larger clearing plan.

Material stays on siteSuitable vegetation becomes ground-covering mulch instead of a large brush pile.
Work around what mattersSelected trees and buffers can often remain when they are marked and accessible.
Plan the finish firstMulching, stump work and dirt preparation create different results; the scope should match the next use.

Common applications

Where forestry mulching works well

Forestry mulching is most useful when the objective is vegetation control and surface access rather than complete below-ground removal.

  • Overgrown acreage edges and unused areas
  • Pasture margins and shelterbelts
  • Fence lines, trails and access routes
  • Right-of-way edges and work corridors
  • Future work areas requiring surface clearing
  • Selective clearing around retained trees

From first look to field work

A clear four-step scope.

Good clearing work starts before the machine arrives. The quote should define access, retained features, included work and the ground condition expected afterward.

01

Share the property

Send the location, photos, approximate area, vegetation and the result you want.

02

Review the site

We assess access, terrain, density, working room and any features that need to stay.

03

Confirm the scope

The quote defines the method, included work, finish expectations and travel.

04

Schedule the work

Once approved, we coordinate timing and any site information needed before mobilizing.

Straight answers

Questions before you clear.

Does forestry mulching remove roots?

Forestry mulching mainly processes vegetation at and above ground level. Roots and some below-ground material remain unless separate stump work or site preparation is included.

Can you work selectively around trees I want to keep?

Often, provided the keep areas are clearly identified and there is enough room to operate safely around them.

Can you quote forestry mulching from photos?

Photos, a map pin and approximate dimensions can start the conversation. Dense, restricted or complex sites may still require an in-person review.

Show us the ground. We’ll help you plan the next move.

Send the location, approximate area, vegetation type, access notes, intended result and a few current photos. We’ll review the project and let you know whether it is a fit.
