Private routes & property access
Trail and access clearing in Central Alberta.
Open a new route or reclaim an overgrown one for property access, maintenance or recreation. The scope follows route width, terrain and intended use.
What this service solves
Create a route that works for its real purpose.
A walking trail, equipment lane and all-season vehicle route need different widths, turns and ground conditions. We assess the vegetation-clearing portion against the intended use.
Slopes, wet areas, crossings, drainage and the trees that should remain all affect route selection. Dirt work or a finished driving surface is separate from vegetation clearing unless it is included in the quote.
Common applications
Routes we can help open
The property owner identifies boundaries and destinations. M&L reviews equipment access and clearing feasibility for the proposed route.
- Private acreage trails
- Equipment and maintenance access
- Connections between property areas
- Overgrown existing lanes
- Lake-access and viewpoint routes
- Contractor access corridors
From first look to field work
A clear four-step scope.
Good clearing work starts before the machine arrives. The quote should define access, retained features, included work and the ground condition expected afterward.
Share the property
Send the location, photos, approximate area, vegetation and the result you want.
Review the site
We assess access, terrain, density, working room and any features that need to stay.
Confirm the scope
The quote defines the method, included work, finish expectations and travel.
Schedule the work
Once approved, we coordinate timing and any site information needed before mobilizing.

Straight answers
Questions before you clear.
Can you help choose the route?
M&L can assess clearing access and feasibility, while the property owner identifies boundaries and desired destinations.
Can trails cross wet or steep areas?
Those conditions require site review and may need work beyond vegetation clearing.
Will the route be ready for vehicle traffic?
That depends on the existing ground and whether dirt work, drainage or surface material is included.
